Responsibilities:

  • Provide application support for the Maintenance Management System (MMS) users
  • Analyze and troubleshoot MMS system issues
  • Asset on-boarding, including execution and completion of the process
  • Assign and update PM templates and tasks in consultation with mechanical leads based on the recommended manufacturer requirements
  • Maintain the asset location assignments and equipment life cycle
  • Oversee and update the OEM and after-market warranty programs
  • Update the maintenance and accounting codes and system setup
  • Assist users with technical issues or support questions about MMS
  • Be an active member of our maintenance, IT and procurement teams in order to identify issues and to bring them to the attention of the team
  • Test and coordinate system updates, upgrades, patches and new features
  • Participate in weekly maintenance, purchasing and IT meetings
  • Prepare key maintenance KPl’s
  • Be willing to travel to field locations in Alberta and BC

Skill and Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • Experience in preventative maintenance and asset management programs
  • Fleet maintenance software experience

You will be able to adjust, repair or replace parts and components for cranes and other heavy equipment, including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems, structural, brake and electrical systems. Work assignments will be received in the form of oral or written work orders, but the candidate is expected to be able to determine the nature and extent of needed repairs. Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Provincial or Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification
  • 3rd or 4th year apprentices with applicable experience will also be considered
  • Experience with electrical (24 volt) hydraulic troubleshooting
